Know Yourself

No matter what field a person goes into, knowing oneself is integral to being able to work effectively and efficiently in that position. One part of self-knowledge is knowing one's personality type. There are numerous personality tests; however, one that is frequently used is the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI). There are four dimensions of the MBTI and each dimension has two components. They are as follows: extroversion/introversion, sensing/intuitive, thinking/feeling, and judging/perceiving.
Knowing your personality type can be beneficial not only in a work situation, it can also be useful in classroom situations. When you know how you tend to look at problems or react in a group situation, it can help you to be more aware of what you need to work on and what your strengths are.
Check out the links below to take a brief version of the MBTI and to get more information on the differences between the different personality types.
