Your community, department, and career planning partners
Advising partners in your student community, department, and career services will work together to provide guidance with degree requirements, help plan your degree program through advising appointments and planning tools, and prepare you for what comes next after graduation. Advisers can help you think through and articulate your short- and long-term goals and consider action steps you will need to take to achieve those goals. Advisers will work with you to ensure you get what you want out of your education.Your student community is designed to provide you with the information and support you need to succeed at the University and make the most of your CLA education. Your student community adviser is a professional adviser available to you throughout your undergraduate years. Your student community peer adviser is an experienced fellow student who is knowledgable about CLA and University requirements and resources.
Your department adviser is an expert on the requirements, courses, activities, and faculty for your specific major.
Your career office is the Career & Community Learning Center in 45 Johnston Hall.
