You're invited…
You have just arrived at a PARTY. None of your other friends have arrived yet so you set out to make some new acquaintances.
As you start to look around and mingle you realize that each of the six
rooms in the house is filled with a different group of folks.
Below is
a description of the people who are hanging out in each room.
Identify the THREE rooms that you would most likely hang out in throughout the
evening, in the order of your preference:
______ R (Realistic) People who have mechanical or physical abilities.
They enjoy operating equipment or machinery, using tools, and working
outside. They tend to follow tradition, have common sense, and take a
practical approach to life.
______ I (Investigative) People
who love to learn, analyze, solve problems or conduct research. They
are often into subjects related to science, math, and medicine. They
tend to be pretty independent and are often curious about things.
______ A (Artistic) People
who have an appreciation for art, creativity/innovation and
self-expression. They may enjoy various types of work related to fine
arts, visual arts,
foreign languages, writing and other things that utilize imagination.
They tend to prefer a more independent and unstructured approach to
life.
______ S (Social) People who love working with people in a helping, teaching or training capacity.
They enjoy working in team-oriented situations, tend to be good
listeners, and possess good written and verbal communication skills.
______ E (Enterprising) People who love to lead, influence, persuade or motivate others.
They tend to enjoy power and status, thrive on taking risks and making
decisions, and take a spontaneous approach to things. They tend to have
good verbal ability and enjoy meeting new people and the limelight of
speaking in public.
_____ C (Conventional) People
who love organization, accuracy and efficiency. They tend to work well
with data, numbers, finances, or processes and procedures. They have
good follow-through and tend to be structured and methodical in their
approach.
People tend to make choices based on what is most comfortable or similar to them.
Chances are you just chose the rooms that most closely represent your
own preferences. Write down and remember these three letters,
otherwise known as your "code"!
