Are there any credit minimums that you have to meet?
Do you plan to graduate in four years?
To graduate in four years without having to attend summer session, you will need to take 15 credits per semester. This means you will be taking 4-5 courses per term.

Reminder: The University does not allow students to take more than 20 credits per term without their college's permission.
Do you receive financial aid?
Some forms of financial aid
require that you maintain full-time status, registering for at least 12
credits each term. Minnesota State Grant aid is based on registration
of 15 credits per term. Contact the Office of Student Finance if you have questions about your status.
Do you have a job on campus?
On-campus employment requires students to be registered for at least 6 credits per term.
Are you a student athlete?
Student athletes are required to register for at least 12 credits during the fall and spring terms.
Are you an international student?
International students are required to register for at least 12 credits during the fall and spring terms.
Do you live in University student housing?
Students who live in University student housing must register for 9 or more undergraduate credits.
