It is weeks 1-2 of the term.
You may make grading option changes to through the second week of the term either online using the online registration system or in person at the Student Service Centers.
However, there are some exceptions to this policy.
- You cannot change grade base for courses that are designated as "S-N only" or "A-F only."
- If you are completing a CLA major or minor, you must take all of the courses required for your major or minor on the "A-F" grade base and achieve a grade of C- or better. The only exceptions to this rule are for courses that have been designated by the department as "S-N only."
Note: If you began working on your major's requirements prior to fall 1999, a different set of policies may apply to you. Check with your CLA student community if you have questions about grading options or about D grades applying toward your major requirements.
It is after week 2 of the term.
After week 2 making grading option changes is no longer allowed. Petitions to change grading options are rarely approved. Contact your CLA student community if you have any questions.
Petitions to change grade base from A-F or S-N to V (audit) may be considered up through the end of week 8.
