Completing Your Applications
When applying to graduate or professional school it is important to
contact each program directly to find out their specific application
procedures. It is not unusual for you to have to complete multiple
applications, forms, or essays for each school. Visiting the
institution's website will likely give you information about
application procedures and oftentimes the application forms can be
downloaded from this location. Typically applications include at a
minimum: - Transcripts from each college you have attended
- Letters of recommendation
- Resume or summary of activities (curriculum vitae)
- Scores for entrance exams
- Application Form
- Personal Statement
In some cases, such as with medical school and dental school, a
centralized application is used for all colleges you apply to (see the
links below). In these cases, we still encourage you to visit the
admissions website for each program to learn about additional forms you
may expect to complete and possible interviewing processes for each
school.
