Writing Your Personal Statement
Often, one of the most intimidating steps in applying to
graduate/professional programs is composing your personal statement. A
quality personal statement that gives the admissions committee a better
sense of you as an applicant is an important part of your application.
It should be written in a way that helps you stand out from other
applicants. Plan to spend a lot of time on this part of your
application and also plan to do several drafts! Last, it is critical
that you get feedback from other people while you are writing this
portion of your application.
